PostSubject: NeoGamma R7   Mon Sep 21, 2009 4:03 pm

This is the most compatible, and well-working backup launcher out right now. You might be thinking "oh, well NeoGamma R8 just came out a while ago" The only reason I am not posting that instead of R7 is because R8 has so many issues right now that it is not even worth installing.
So here are the reasons to update:
CHANGELOG:
R6 - > R7:

- Increased timeout to 30 seconds
- Cleaned up code for decrypted discs
- Hopefully 100% working gamecube disc detection now
- Cleaned up code for video modes, gamecube games are started with the selected video mode now
- Changed rebooter behaviour, hopefully works for all system menus WITHOUT preloader attached
- Removed 001 main.dol patching for alternative .dols
- Removed Anti 002 fix
- Removed dirty fix for Wii Sports Resort
- Added alternative .dol loading from usb storage

- Alternative .dol loading from storage now loads .dols with 6 and 4 characters
- Fixed error that prevented to load games after receiving an error in a previous loading attempt

of course i can lol

just load up the homebrew channel with the sd card in the wii,
then start the wad manager, choose to install from the sd card slot.
then choose to install on ios249, then choose the neogamma r7.wad file

it sounds a little confusing just reading this, but once you actually start the app and everything then you will understand what i'm talking about.

i hope this helps Very Happy

shox is right, you just need to put it in your apps folder.
make sure it looks like this.

SD ROOT ---> APPS ---> Wad manager ---> boot.dol

all of these are folders except for the boot.dol file.

you need to run the mios patcher.
its included in the softmii pack on Wiikend hacks.
if you want though, i can make a post either today or tomorrow with just the mios patcher seperate.

you use the cios38rev14 installer, which of course lol, can be found on wiikend hacks Very Happy

its basically just an installer that you put on your sd card and run from the homebrew channel.

Ok I've tried it out and I keep getting an error: -1
I deleted some channels because I thought it might free up space and I also formatted my SD card. I made sure the card was in the wii before I turned it on every time. Still not working. All thats left is a cIOS missing or being incorrectly installed. So how do I know which one to fix?

Edit: I tried out network installation and it worked. It still won't let all gamecube games work though. I thought it did, lol. Still not able to play cel damage.
