Subject: HDTV/S-viedo HELP NOW PLEASE !!!!! Thu Oct 29, 2009 7:23 am
I have just bought a second hand wii.
I have just realized that the previous owner upgraded his AV cables to the HDTV cables. . . . . I dont have a HDTV . . . .
So Basicly i have a new wii and i cant play it at all! the screen is split and jumping I cant see a thing on it.
PLEASE HELP I have been looking like mad for old cables on ebay/amazon etc but all I can find are the new flash S-video ones!
HELP what can I do?
Is there a converter? or a adapter plug or something?

you can always look on your local gamestop or at their website which i'm pretty sure they have.

The saga continues!
I got a old cable. (the old owner decided he actually did have the cable and I managed to get it off him)
Now when I set it all up I only get a blue screen (there seams to be no avout put)
Befor you say things like check the cables and make sure they are pluged in etc . . . . .
I have just sat down with another wii. set it all up with the "working" wii and it worked fine. I then swaped the cables over to the "broken" wii. It turns on acepts disks and you can evan feel the remote vibrating as you move over the different chanels etc (not that I can actually see what is hapening!
Any one have any ideas? could it be something to do with a strange HDTV setting on the wii ? thats about all I could find online about it!
Thanks again all! . . . . . you have been a great help!
Mab I am just not spose to own a wii haha!

well the only advice i have is to try and set it up on a different t.v, if that doesn't work, then it just means that your wii is broken.
