Softmod for wii with version 4.2u

I just purchased my wii last week, and updated to 4.2u before I learned about the ability to modify your wii. So, is there a known good option to softmod my wii at this time, or should I just wait. Also, how do I prevent my wii from updating by itself?

Yes you can softomd 4.2 there are a couple of ways on the main page

Now I will not give a link to this but google bannerbomb version 2 it will work and probably the best method.
Once you softmod your wii install the preloader on the main page, this should help with preventing updates, also look into your settings and make sure you haven't check off automatic updates.
