How to play movies and burned games on wii?

I recently installed the Homebrew Channel on my Wii with Letterbomb and have been uising the Homebrew browser to search for DVD player apps and other apps which will allow me to play burned discs on my Wii. No apps listed in the browser seem to be working properly. What are the best apps for this? Are there any other required apps I need to download? If so, which ones?
